Cameron came out for the inspection and was absolutely a professional with everything and answered all my questions. Seriously, Cameron's ability to answer all my questions really gave me a sense of reassurance about my fireplace and chimney. I would absolutely recommend Smokey Joe's in a heartbeat and I will be personally using Smoky Joe's for all my chimney needs.

After we purchased a fire kit for our gas fireplace Gilbert came out 3 times to make sure it was correct and we loved it. He also helped me out my trashcans away. I can not say enough great things about this company. Stephanie is amazing too!!

If you're on a time constraint or just generally like things fast paced, you can just tell him you don't have any questions and to get on with the job; he won't get offended, or at least that's what he told me. The lady who answers the phone was very helpful too. I had questions afterwards and she spent time explaining the different types of fireplace covers and whatnot. Just generally helpful folks it seems. Wouldn't mind giving them my business again.

  •   Called Smokey Joe's because I didn't trust the two 25 year old technicians from another company who I hired, and charged me $500.00 for cleaning and a gas burner replacement.... read more They didn't even have a ladder, and couldn't find the gas valve (That was a hint). They told me it was safe to use the fire place which had not been used in over 11 years. I call Smokey Joe's for a double check. The technician was seasoned, and was professional, and arrived on time. He used a gas sniffer to check for gas leaks, then climbed on the roof to check everything else. There was a gas leak at the valve and the apparatus, the chimney needed about $12,000 of work because it was severely damaged. They took pictures. The assessment was honest and fair. No sales pitch or pressure tactics. The scope of the repair was beyond their capabilities. It was a fire hazard. A report was mailed to me a week later. I highly recommend Smokey Joe's. Trust no body else.

    Cameron and coworker came on-time. They were able to open my 60 year old damper; I was thrilled so I didn't have to have any repairs. Cameron was polite, detailed as he told me everything that was going on. He verbally gave me a different price than what was on yelp messages but he honored it. They showed me videos of some issues on the roof and reasonable price to fix some small holes and even cracks on my AC duct work. They also installed a C clap so the damper always has a little opening.

    I would highly recommend them. Don't hesitate.

The customer... read more service representative who scheduled our service visit was courteous and professional. A very timely appointed was scheduled and the staff arrived as scheduled for the appointment. Both of the technicians were respectful and professional. The tech who was working inside our home offered to remove his shoes prior to entering and both wore masks. The techs completed their respective tasks and then discussed their observations and recommendations. The job was completed in a very reasonable amount of time and the price appeared to be reasonable. I would recommend this company and will use them again when the need arises!

He answered all our questions and went over all the different options and even potential issues that may come up. He's extremely knowledgeable about everything related to chimneys and even with safety codes and city permit issues about rebuilding a fireplace. He could've easily did things to charge us more but he treated our house like his own and did what was best for us. The scope of the work needed requires a mason and he gave us a referral and even offered to take a look at the quote that we get and said we can ask him questions about it. I could tell he's just a really good person and honest and an expert. Thank you so much Gilbert and Smokey Joe's!

The other chimney service companies gave me estimates and services that need... read more not be done which would have cost me more money if I did not talk to Gilbert and Stefanie. If you need work done on your chimney, make sure you talk to Smokey Joe's before you decide on who would work on your chimney.
